We did it. We ran the entire Northbound Appalachian Trail.

It took us 15 months of planning, running, driving, recovering, and figuring out how to make it all work alongside our children, jobs, and finances. It wasn't always easy, but we proved that it could be done.

THE APPALACHIANTRAIL ADVENTURE

One section at a time.

In 2021, Celia Eicheldinger and I decided to take on something that felt both completely unreasonable and completely possible: running the entire Appalachian Trail from Springer Mountain, Georgia, to Katahdin, Maine.

We had already had a blast planning, preparing, and running the 72-mile (144-mile double) S.C.A.R. section of the Appalachian Trail together. We knew we wanted another adventure — but this time, we'd go all the way.

We just had to figure out how to make it work.

MAKING IT WORK

Jobs. Kids. Life.

We couldn't simply leave our jobs and families for months at a time. We had children, careers, responsibilities, and real lives to work around.

So we figured out another way.

Over the course of 15 months, we planned and ran the trail in sections — returning again and again to the mountains until, finally, we'd covered all 2,194.1 miles.

MORE THAN A RUN

We wanted this adventure to be as much for us as it was for YOU — to inspire, bring hope, and share our miles and experience along the way.

Along the way, we partnered with Soles4Souls to use the adventure to give back.

ALONE, TOGETHER

The story behind the miles.

The adventure eventually became a book — Alone, Together — a story about motherhood, friendship, adventure, and discovering what we're capable of when we decide to try.
